Sweet goodness is this going to melt faces.

what we have here is the bi product of musical cross pollination, EOTO definitely having their roots situated in a jam band format, opens the gate of possibilities with the usage of electronic instruments, this is a genre we here in Michigan have dubbed "Jam-Tronica" and its growing more and more as bands across the globe are experimenting with other musical concepts and equipment. a testament to the exact nature of the beast resides within the humble host of this show, Garganta.

http://www.gargantavision.com/

Garganta to me, is really the epitome of the merging of electronic dance music and jam music into one set. Garganta will take popular electronic tracks and remix them live as well as play their original work. Their sets are always unique, always something new, their sound is always improving, and their fan base consistently growing, and for a good reason! Garganta started making their debut in early 2008 and are already playing with the likes of Lotus, EOTO, Boombox, Papadosio, and the list goes on. within two years Garganta has already participated in the Rothbury music festival, as well as making their first appearance this year at Summerdance. With a forward thought approach its no wonder why Garganta is catching on, and i can only anticipate them getting bigger still, be on the look out Garganta is coming this way!

Lets not forget that theres still more to this line up, we'll be seeing Ultra Mega (aka triptronic) making his debut at Electro Jam 6. playing his original work I believe we are all in for a suprise!

and of course, there is Superdre, one of Grand Rapid's very own and very successful DJ and Producers, making a big impact in the local scene. Superdre, has been conquering dancefloors throughout the years and she's on the move! I hate feeding the all mighty debate that women do not make great dj's, you rarely hear Dre mention the fact, or use gender as a handicap, i think its because she lets her sets and original work do the talking for her (seriously if you dont think this chick can throw down i suggest you check out any one of her 32983493 mixes available for download, or even check out her myspace page to hear any of her tracks, personally i love that miniphone track http://www.djsuperdre.com/ for following this woman that rolls! ) Much respect to superdre holding it down in the 616.

and then theres me.... well if you havent heard me and somehow found yourself following this blog i'm surprised and disappointed! I'm not gonna sit here and type that I can spin pretty much any genre thats under the electronic sun, except that i just did! seriously tho, i'm gonna drop some of the sickest selections in dubstep and drum n bass, all vinyl, and all facemelters! you can follow me here and also check out some of my original work on soundcloud. www.soundcloud.com/sylock

the tickets will be on sale right now, pick up yours today, because this show is garenteed to rock out!

(you can find more info on the event here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=270393643411&ref=ts )
all i can say is, this is gonna be one hell of a show. we got Adam Francesconi coming all the way from the d, just to lay down some of the smoothest, funkiest, house ever! and i dare u to prove me otherwise! and Crispin Klemp comes out of hiding for a show i'm sure he's been premeditating for just the right tracks, he's like a white derrick may, he may not smile or move much, but thats just because he's focusing all his energy into dropping the sickest tracks techno has ever made!
and let us not forget Memnok, if ur a podcast listener then you already know a little bit about this shadowy figure lurking in the dark! memnok will be melting faces, its just pure and simple. Jeremy Brown may be just now popping up on the map of techno, but he is no stranger to its rhythms. come join all of us down at Bar Divani, on april 24th, theres no cover, the environment is chill, the beers cheap (2 dollar beers avail) and the beats, well they need little introduction

join us on facebook for the event!

Lime Green Shirt: Grand Rapids Show listings,

whats up everyone.

so I got some shows coming up, i know i'm excited for the excitement that your excited about too.

here is one that will be off the hook, i mean the kind of show u find urself going to sleep at 10 am the next day after ur bloody mary and last cigarette from the second pack you bought on your way to get a couple of ultra dogs from yesterdog before you went to hang out at some doods house that you have no idea who he is except the broski's call him oggy, only to find out you totally banged his gf like 2 yrs ago, and she keeps eye fucking you from afar...

i predict a lot of deep house, minimal house, minimal techno, and just straight up pounding techno thats gonna keep u doing that head bobble till u decide ur drunk enough to dance!

i'll have a couple of shows for next week also posted, stay in the loop! for more info on the show this friday here's a fb link http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=108544742514789&index=1
